Mountbatten

 Mountbatten is a 58’ x 10’ 3” cruiser stern widebeam built in 1994 by CT & D Fox Boatbuilders, and has been used for the past 10 years by the Crusader Community Boating charity as a fully accessible trip boat.

She has been well maintained, having been surveyed in 2024, blacked in February 2026, and serviced in February 2026 as well.

The impressive 17’10” well deck features railings all around, with wheelchair accessible openings on both sides, and a storage locker in the bow. When being used for trips, this deck comfortably houses 12 chairs and a couple of tables, which are included in the sale.

A wheelchair ramp leads down, past a glazed bulkhead and glazed forward doors, into the main cabin. There is a total of 29’3” of internal space, with the “saloon” occupying 16’ of that. There is under gunwhale shelving on the port side, and under gunwhale cupboards on the starboard side, and a large amount of open space for chairs and tables. A number of large double glazed windows bring in lots of light to this internal space.

A 6’6” L-shaped galley follows, with laminate worktops, a 3 burner gas hob, stainless steel sink, and a series of cupboards, shelves and a drawer for storage. This could easily be expanded to accommodate a fridge and cooker if required.

The WC is in its own wheelchair accessible room, and at 6’9” theres plenty of room for moving around. A Tecma pumpout loo and ceramic wash basin can be found here. With slight modifications, a shower could also be installed if needed.

The aft steps lead out onto the 8’0” stern deck, which is the only part of the boat not accessible by wheelchair. There are more railings around the outside, which lift up to allow crew to board. The Ford 2.5L engine is housed below.

A Webasto hot air blower, with vents along the port side, keeps the boat toasty in winter, and hot water is heated via the engine only, with a large calorifier.

12v power is supplied by 2 domestics, with a separate starter, and 240v power is via a landline hookup only. A Sterling ProCharge battery charger is also installed.

Lighting on board is a mix of LED and fluorescent tubes.
