Bob

Bob is a charming 50’ semi-trad narrowboat built by Sherwood Narrowboats in 2016. She has been partially completed by the current owner, and has so far been kitted out to a very high spec. On board is almost everything you need to finish her,  waiting to be installed, whilst still giving new owners control over the final touches.

She was 2pk epoxy blacked in 2016, before first being launched into the water in 2024, followed by a full repaint the same year.

The semi trad deck features lockers either side, with the Barrus Shire 35hp engine housed below. Almost brand new, the engine sits around 50 hours, and is due the first service at 250 hours.

Temporary steps lead down into the 8’8” galley. There are laminate topped cupboards either side, with a stainless steel sink, Stoves 500DIT gas oven, grill & 4 burner hob, and a 12v Inlander fridge are on board to install.

Next is the 10’4” saloon, currently a blank canvas ready for freestanding furniture, a sofa or armchairs. An Arada solid fuel stove is supplied as well.

The 5’11” walkthrough bathroom features a quadrant corner shower, Thetford Cassette toilet, and glass wash basin over a cupboard. The plumbing is already on the boat, but still needs connecting up to the taps. The bathroom is currently the only cabin with flooring, but spare wood effect LVT is on board to match.

Following, the bedroom features a 6’4” x 3’10” double berth, with drawers under, and space by the forward doors for a large double wardrobe.

A temporary step leads out onto the open well deck, with room for a couple of chairs whilst cruising.

Two 13kg propane bottles with a regulator are housed in the bow locker, which are ready to plumb in by a qualified gas engineer.

The first fit 12v and 240v electric cables have been professionally installed, with LED lighting wired up in 4 zones. She will require new batteries when the electric systems are fully commissioned, along with the relevant electrical gadgets as required.

Also on board is a pile of materials ready to finish the trim, in keeping with the works that have been carried out so far.

She comes with Annex IIIa documentation for a partially completed vessel, and is ready for anyone looking for an exciting project with very little hassle! You’ll be bobbing along in no time…
