Spree

Spree is a charming 45’ semi-trad narrowboat built in 1992 by Colecraft, and fitted out by Kate Boats. She was surveyed in 2018 and again in 2022 (both reports available for viewing in the office), and blacked in October 2024.

She is fitted out with painted ply with oak trim, and laminate flooring throughout, for a light and modern feel.

The cratch covered well deck is 3’11” with lockers either side, and a folding table for al fresco dining.  The 750L integral water tank is housed below.

Steps lead down, through glazed forward doors, into the 10’6” saloon. This features an L-shaped fixed bench, with a folding table, and easily converts to a spare double berth when needed. There is also a Valor solid fuel stove, and a range of cupboards for storage, as well as a Cello 21v TV.

Next is the 5’11” galley, with laminate worktops, a stainless steel sink, Thetford oven, grill & 4 burner gas hob, 12v British Mode fridge with icebox, and lots of storage.

The corridor which follows features full height wardrobe/cupboards, and leads onto the bathroom. Here is a quadrant corner shower, Thetford Porta Potti toilet, and ceramic countersunk wash basin.

The bedroom is 6’6” with a fixed 6’0” x 4’0” double  berth, with storage under and cupboards over both the head and foot end.

Steps lead out onto the pram covered 4’8” semi-trad deck. The BMC 1800 engine is housed below, and was fully reconditioned in March 2023 including new engine mounts, twin pully upgrade, new injector pump, and new starter solenoid. This was also serviced in March 2025 including new belts and extraction pump.

She is centrally heated by an Alde gas fired boiler connected to fin rads, and hot water is provided by the Alde, engine or immersion heater.

12v power is provided by 3x 100ah domestics, with a separate starter. 240v power is via a Sterling 350w inverter, or landline hookup. A Sterling 30amp charger and galvanic isolator are also installed.

Lighting on board is LED throughout.

She is ideal for weekends away, or even extended cruising, and with a few minor upgrades could make a lovely liveaboard home.
