Hocus Pocus

Hocus Pocus is a well crafted traditional stern narrowboat built in 2005 by Jonathan Wilson, and fitted out by Anthony M and Steve Chappell. She expertly packs all the essentials into 60’, and has been well look after over the years.

The well deck has two different cratch covers, and a glazed cratch board, with the 454L plastic water tank housed below.

Steps lead into the 14’6” saloon, with a small balcony style area at the front, with storage under and cupboards. The main area features a Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove (NEW 2025), 2 captains chairs with matching foot stools, a couple of side tables, 240v Samsung TV, (plus DVD, CD and tape players!) and a range of cupboards for storage.

Next is the dinette, with opposing split style seating, making up a single berth either side or full width double. This seats 4, with storage under as well. A starboard side hatch, with glazed internal doors, brings in additional light and fresh air.

The 7’9” galley features Corian worktops, a Thetford 4 burner gas hob, Belling oven & grill, DeLonghi microwave, composite sink, CDA washing machine, and an amazing 9 cupboards plus drawers. A port side hatch and houdini over bring in even more light and fresh air.

Following, the bathroom is 5’0”, with a quadrant corner shower, stainless steel sink, Sani Marin pumpout loo, spare Porta Potti, and a couple more cupboards.

The 10” bedroom features a 6’6” x 4’0” double berth, with storage under, and cupboards over. A second 240v Samsung TV is mounted over the bed, before the L-shaped large wardrobe.

Steps lead into the 4’0” engine room, with the Vetus 4 cylinder engine housed below (last serviced in October 2024). Navigation is aided by a Vetus 55kgf bowthruster. Another step leads out onto the trad stern deck, via the large back hatch.

She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher diesel fired system connected to 2 radiators and a towel rail. Hot water is via the Eberspacher, engine or immersion.

12v power is supplied by 4x 120ah domestics topped up by 610w of solar with a Victron MPPT solar charge controller, with a separate starter (plus 100w of solar) and bowthruster supplies. 240v power is via a Victron Pheonix Multiplus 2.5kva inverter/charger or landline.

Lighting on board is LED throughout.
