Puffin

Puffin is a 57’ Traditional stern narrowboat built in 2006 by Reeves. The fit out is unknown, but good quality. 

The paintwork is in good condition, and she was last blacked in June 2022 with Epoxy 2 pack. Boat safety has just been done so that is good until 2030. She has a survey in 2021 which is on the boat for inspection. 

The 2x13kg gas bottles (with changeover valve) are in the bow locker. The well deck is 4’ long, is covered by a cratch cover (with clear or blackout panels), and has bench seats / lockers either side. The 450 litre stainless steel water tank is underneath. 

Steps lead into the saloon. This is 12’ long and has a large 3 seater sofabed, a TV, a lockgate diesel stove and cupboards and shelves for storage. 

The galley is next. Utilities comprise of a four burner gas hob, oven & grill, a microwave oven, a washing machine, a 12v fridge / freezer and a stainless steel sink with drainer. There are plenty of cupboards for storage and ample work surface. A side hatch (wth glazed inner doors) and a houdini hatch in the ceiling add light & air.

A dinette area is aft of the galley. This seats four for dining or games and has storage under the benches. This converts into a spare double berth.

The bathroom  is off corridor and has a Tecma pumpout loo, a spare Porta Potti, a ceramic washbasin  and three cupboards for storage. The shower cubicle  has bi-fold doors and there is a heated towel rail. 

The bedroom is in the aft cabin. The bed is a cross bed (storage under), there is a chest of 4 drawers and a wardrobe either side, and there are cupboards over.  There is also a wall mounted TV.

The engine room is in the stern. This has the Barrus Shire 40hp (serviced regularly), the bank of 4x 120ah domestic batteries (new in 2025) for the 12v system, and the 3kva Victron inverter / charger for 230v. There is also a landline hook up and a galvanic isolator, and the batteries are topped up from the 400w of solar.

All the lights are LED, and all the windows have privacy film on. 

She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired boiler to 3 radiators and a towel rail, and the water is heated by the engine, the Webasto and an immersion heater. 

Propulsion is assisted by the bowthruster, and she has all the necessary navigation equippment, including an anchor, to turn the key and go.

She is a lovely boat ready for immediate occupation whether it be for liveaboard or leisure cruising.
