Tambourine
£39,950
Tambourine is a 49’ traditional stern narrowboat built in 1998 by Mike Heywood and fitted out by Associated Cruisers. She was surveyed in October 2017, and blacked in October 2025, and the paintwork is in reasonable condition.
The 4’2” cratch covered well deck features a small locker either side of a demountable table, perfect for al fresco dining.
A step leads down into the 10’3” saloon, with an L-shaped dinette and demountable table (converts to a spare double when needed), a couple of cupboards, space for a TV, and a few shelves. The Arada Hamlet solid fuel stove was new in December 2024.
Next is the 7’8” galley, with laminate worktops, 12v Isotherm fridge, Thetford oven, grill & 4 burner gas hob, a stainless steel sink, and a range of cupboards, shelves, a wine rack, and a drawer for storage. A port side hatch with demountable screen brings in additional light and fresh air.
The 6’0” bathroom follows, with a rectangular shower enclosure with a tiled surround and glass bi-fold doors, Thetford cassette loo with 1 spare cassette, and a ceramic wash basin.
Heading aft, the 10’2” bedroom features a fixed 6’3” x 4’3” double berth with storage under and a cupboard over, and a full height double wardrobe.
A step leads aft into the engine room, with the Beta BV1505 engine housed below. This was last serviced in Summer 2024 and cruised little since. Navigation is also aided by a Vetus Penta 5hp bowthruster.
Another step leads out onto the stern deck.
She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher diesel fired hot air blower with vents in the bedroom, bathroom and saloon. Hot water is provided by a Paloma instant gas water heater, and a spare new Morco gas water heater is also included.
12v power is supplied by 3x 110ah domestics, with separate starter and bowthruster supplies. 240v power is provided via a 500w plug in inverter, a 350w plug in inverter, or landline hookup (with a galvanic isolator fitted). A Victron battery charger is also installed.
Lighting on board is a mix of LED, tungsten and halogen.
She is a sweet boat, perfect for weekends away, or even for liveaboard life.
