Madrisa

Madrisa is a truly stunning 58’ 6” reverse layout semi-trad narrowboat built by Colecraft in 2018. She has been fitted out in a high standard, with oak faced ply to the hull sides, ‘Old English White’ painted cabin sides and T&G to the ceiling. The solid oak trim highlights the solid oak flooring throughout.

She has been well so looked after, with a ‘back to metal’ repaint in Nov 2024 with blacking at the same time. The paintwork is immaculate for an 8 year old boat. 

The semi-trad stern deck and cockpit (7’7” total) houses the Beta Marine 43hp engine below. Navigation is also aided by a Vetus 60kgf bowthruster. The gas bottles are stored in the port side locker.

Steps lead down into the 11’10” galley, with granite worktops, recessed sink, Candy washing machine, Electriq slimline dishwasher, 12v Dometic fridge with icebox, Belling eye level oven & grill, Thetford 3 burner gas hob, and an abundance of cupboards for storage. A starboard side hatch and houdini hatch over, bring in additional light and fresh air.

Next is the large saloon (12’2”) with 2 armchairs, footstools, and a fixed L-shaped dinette, which converts to a spare double, with 2 demountable tables. A 12v Avtex TV with a Sony media receiver and CD player provide entertainment.

The 6’2” bathroom follows, with a vinyl lined shower cubicle with bi-folding doors, Sanimarin macerator pumpout loo, and ceramic basin over a granite topped vanity unit.

The bedroom, large at 12’3”, features two 6’3”x2’5” single ottoman beds (on gas struts with easy access to storage under), 2 tall cupboards and a double wardrobe.

A step leads out onto the 3’10” cratch covered well deck, with seats/lockers either side. With the gas at the stern, the bow locker provides a large external storage space.

She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired system, connected to 4 radiators and a heated towel rail. Hot water is supplied by the Webasto, engine or an immersion heater. There is also a frost heater in the engine bay to help with winterising.

12v power is supplied by 3x 142ah domestics, with separate starter and bowthruster supply, connected to a Vetus Combi Gamma 3kw inverter/charger for 240v power. A separate Victron inverter powers the cooker ignition. 245w of solar power with a Vetus controller keep everything topped up.

The lighting onboard is LED throughout.
