62' 0" Trad 2007 Roger Farrington/Wharf House Narrowboats
Leo is a lovely 62’ traditional stern narrowboat built in 2007 by Roger Farrington and fitted out by Wharf House Narrowboats.
She has been well looked after by her current owners, who have had her for over 10 years, and she benefits from a blacking in October 2024. A hull survey was carried out in February 2013 which is available for viewing in the office.
The large 5’7” cratch covered well deck features lockers either side, and access to the bow locker via metal double doors.
Steps lead down into the 15’0” saloon, with a Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove, 2 comfortable arm chairs, a small table with two additional chairs, and a corner cupboard with a 12v Cello TV over. There is plenty of space for additional freestanding furniture if required.
Next is the 8’0” saloon, with a 12v Shoreline fridge/freezer, Candy Aquamatic washing machine, Thetford 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill, large sink, and plenty of cupboards and drawers for storage.
A port side hatch in the galley, and starboard side hatch in the saloon bring in additional light and fresh air. Two additional false side hatches sit further aft, which complete the ‘traditional’ look of the vessel from ashore.
The walkthrough bathroom follows (6’4”) with a custom tiled shower cubicle with glazed door, Thetford Porta Potti toilet, and ceramic counter sunk wash basin.
Heading aft, the 12’4” bedroom features a fixed 6’0” x 4’0” double berth (with an extendable base), 2 decent sized wardrobes, a cupboard and drawers. A large amount of storage is accessible under the bed as well.
Steps lead out into the engine room, with the Beta 43 engine housed below. This was serviced in October 2024. Navigation is also aided by a BCS 100kgf bowthruster. An additional step leads out onto the aft deck.
She is centrally heated by a Hurricane diesel boiler connected to 2 radiators and a towel rail. Hot water is supplied by the Hurricane, engine or immersion.
12v power is supplied by 4x domestics with a separate starter and 2x bow thruster, topped up by 200w of solar with a Victron MPPT solar charge controller. 240v power is supplied by a Victron Multiplus 3kva inverter/charger, as well as a separate 500kva inverter, and landline hookup.
Lighting on board is LED throughout, including under the gunwhales in the saloon and bedroom.
She is full of charm, and ready for immediate occupation.
