As You Like It

As You Like It is a lovely 36’ cruiser stern narrowboat built in 1990 by R.S. Engineering and fully refitted in 2018 to a high standard, followed by 2 pack epoxy blacking in 2021.

She is fitted out in oak faced ply with oak trim, and painted T&G, with vinyl tiled flooring, for a light and modern feel.

Whilst the open well deck is only 2’6”, theres still room for a small bench, and the integral water tank is housed below.

Starboard side steps lead down into the 7’5” saloon, with an L-shaped dinette with demountable table. This converts into the main double berth (7’5” x 3’10”)   with plenty of storage space under. 

The 6’5” galley follows, with laminate worktops, stainless steel sink, Thetford oven & grill, Thetford 4 burner gas hob, 240v Proline fridge with icebox, and a range of cupboards.

Next is the 4’0” bathroom, with a shower and wardrobe  to the port side, and Dometic pumpout loo and a ceramic wash basin to the starboard side. Doors open out into the central corridor, to close off the bathroom for privacy.

The stern cabin features bench seats either side, which can also be used as single berths, with storage under and a cupboard over each berth.

Steps lead out onto the 6’0” cruiser stern deck. This is the real social area of the boat, with space for plenty of crew. The Beta 30 engine is housed below, which was new in 2018, and was serviced in July 2025.

She is centrally heated by an Alde gas boiler connected to 2 radiators. Hot water is supplied by the engine or immersion when on landline.

12v power is supplied by 2x 110ah domestics, with a separate starter, and 240v power is supplied by a Victron EasyPlus Compact 1.6kva inverter/charger or landline hookup.

Lighting on board is LED throughout.

She is a sweet little boat, ideal for weekends away, or with a few modifications she could even work for compact liveaboard life.
