Sally

Sally is a 55’ reverse layout semi-trad built in 1998  by CNM boatbuilders and fitted out by the original owner. She was bought by the current owner in 2003 and has served the last few years as part of the hire fleet at Grand Union Narrowboats. As such, she has been really well and regularly looked after. 

She was last blacked and had a hull survey in August 2026 (and four new anodes added), and the engine was serviced in August 2026. She was fully repainted in 2024, and the paintwork is in good condition.

From the semi trad stern steps lead into the 12’ saloon. This is open plan and has a two seater sofa, a gateleg table with 4 chairs, a small wall mounted TV and a Morso solid fuel stove. 

The galley follows and the utilities comprise of a four burner gas hob, grill and oven, a stainless steel sink with draining board, and a 12v fridge (with icebox). There is plenty of storage and work surface. A side hatch on the starboard side adds light and air. 

A starboard side corridor leads to the bathroom. This has a ceramic wash basin, a Dometic pump out loo, a curtained shower cubicle and a heated towel rail. 

The bedroom is in the forward cabin. The fixed double is 6’3”x4’ and has storage under. There is a shelf above the head end and a cupboard at the foot end. Steps lead out to the front deck. The two 13kg gas bottles are in the bow locker.

She is centrally heated by a diesel fired Webasto boiler to 3 radiators and the towel rail.

The water tank is integral, and the water is heated by the engine, an immersion heater or the Webasto.

Propulsion is by a Beta 38 engine (regularly serviced), and 12v power is from the bank of four domestic batteries. 230v is from either landline hook up or the Victron 3kva inverter / charger. There is also 300w of solar. 

Sally has been well looked after and will make a lovely floating home or holiday boat.
