62' 0" Cruiser Stern 2006 Mike Christian/Dobson's Wharf Boats
Silver Lining is a lovely 62’ cruiser stern narrowboat, built in 2006 by Mike Christian and fitted out by Dobson’s Wharf Boats. She has been designed to accommodate a wheelchair user with ease, with a hydraulic lift and 2’7” wide corridors through the boat.
She was last blacked in January 2026, and a survey from October 2025 is available for viewing in the office.
The open well deck is 4’10” and has plenty of space for a table and chairs, and easy access to the gas bottles in the bow.
A step leads down, through a large glazed forward door, into the 13’0” saloon. Due to the accessibility of this boat, each cabin feels open and spacious, with the saloon housing a couple of captains chairs with matching footstools, a shelving unit and a cupboard for a TV. There is room here for a sofa bed or additional freestanding furniture if required.
The 7’3” saloon has a Vanette oven & grill, Vanette 4 burner gas hob, stainless steel sink, Currys 240v fridge/freezer, a wine rack, shelf and a couple of cupboards for storage. A starboard side hatch brings in additional light and fresh air.
Next is the 6’6” bathroom, with a bath (shower over), ceramic wash basin, Dometic Sealand pumpout toilet, and more storage.
The 8’3” bedroom has a 6’6” x 4’4” double berth which folds out into the corridor when in use, as well as storage under, a single full height wardrobe, and another smaller cupboard. Extra large opening portholes bring in plenty of light and fresh air.
Leading on, the 8’10” aft cabin features a portside fixed bench, which converts to a spare cross bed double, a Hotpoint washing machine, and two tall cupboards. This cabin also houses the hydraulic wheelchair lift, which raises from floor to aft deck level. When not needed, a set of steps can be used instead.
The aft deck is 7’6” which is comfortable for a group to cruise, and the wheelchair lift can be used to house additional crew. The Yanmar Shire engine is housed below, which was serviced in January 2026.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired system connected to 5 radiators, and hot water is provided by the engine & the Webasto.
12v power is supplied by 4x 110ah domestics, with a separate engine starter and hydraulic lift starter. 240v power is via a Sterling 2.5kva inverter or landline, with a battery charger also installed.
Lighting on board is LED and halogen.
A rather unique boat, which has been very well designed and thought out, and will make somebody a lovely floating home or holiday cottage.
