Silber

Silber is a charming 51’1” traditional stern narrowboat built in 2000 by G&J Reeves and fitted out by Blue Haven Marine. She had a survey in November 2019, and was last blacked in September 2023.

She is fitted out in American light oak with oak trim throughout, Amtico flooring in the engine room and boatmans cabin, and carpet elsewhere.

The 4’2” cratch covered well deck features lockers either side, with access to the bowthruster locker forward (Max Power 65kgf). The stainless steel 450L water tank is housed below.

Steps lead down into the 10’8” saloon, with 2 captains chairs, a Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove, Phillips CD radio, and a range of oak and glass fronted cupboards for storage.

Next is the galley, which shares 7’10” of space with a twin dinette (converts to spare single). The galley features laminate worktops, a Coolmatic 12v fridge with icebox, enamel coated sink with drainer, Vanette oven & grill, Vanette 4 burner gas hob, and a microwave, plus storage!

Double doors lead into the 5’3” bathroom, with a hip bath, shower tap over and curtain across, ceramic wash basin with cupboard under, and a Tecma macerator pumpout loo.

The engine room is next, with the Beta JD3 engine proudly on show. This was last serviced in April 2025. Theres a couple of cupboards in here for storage, and side hatches both sides bringing in extra light and fresh air.

The boatmans cabin is 9’8” with fixed benches along the starboard side, a traditional pull down cross bed double berth, and heaps of storage. There is also a Premier solid fuel stove, for cozy nights by the fire. Steps lead out onto the 3’6” stern deck.

She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired system connected to 1 radiator, 1 towel rail, and fin rads through the boat, and hot water is via the engine or Webasto.

12v power is provided by 4x 125ah domestics with a separate starter and bowthruster supply. 240v power is via a Heart Interface 2kw inverter/charger, or landline hookup with a galvanic isolator installed too.

Lighting on board is LED throughout.
