Zephyr Bee, 60′ Tyler Wilson Traditional narrowboat 2014 was launched in Sep 2014. Designed by her current owners, she was built by Tyler Wilson and fitted out by Milburn Boats.
In her design, the owners were keen to have her as natural and ecological as possible, and this is evident in the decor with organic curtains, carefully chosen handmade tiles and a naturally filled mattress.
From the well deck (the locker seats have steel watertight lids), into the boat through steel ash lined glazed doors. The saloon is large at 14’ 10” and houses a stove with small oven incorporated, various shelving and cupboards and an L shaped couch which turns into a spare double berth.
The galley follows and is a curved walk through arrangement. In addition to huge cupboard space, there is a 4 burner gas hob (with extractor light over), an eye level oven & grill over the 12v fridge, and a washing machine. The work tops are American walnut. There is a side hatch on the port side over the sink.
An unusual, but very useful, office space/study follows. Under the benchseat is lockable storage and a 12v top loading freezer, and the table slides over the bench for more space when not in use. A large storage cupboard sits next to the bench. There is also a 6 bottle wine rack next to a stack of drawers and another side hatch (with steps and roof hatch) on the starboard side.
On into the bathroom housing the pumpout loo, ceramic basin and the spacious shower cubicle. There is some useful shelf space in here next to the heated towel rail.
The bedroom is next; the 6’6” x 4’ bed extends to 5’ wide and has storage both over and under, with a wardrobe at the foot of the bed.
The good sized stern cabin is last housing the various electrical systems, inverter, generator & ever reliable Beta engine (with only 100 hours).
On board central heating is from the diesel fired Webasto system. This heats two rads, the towel rail and finrads. On board 230v is from either landline, the 3kw inverter or the 3.5kw engine driven generator and navigation is aided by the 75kgf bowthruster.
Immediately prior to sale she has been blacked and had a clean hull survey.
