Yew Tew is stunning, most owners arriving with us to sell take a bit of time on arrival to prepare their boats – this boat arrived after a 5 day journey looking like it should have carried on to the Crick Show for display. With its recent repaint gleaming and varnished woodwork, it is a tribute to the owners and Sandhills narrowboats joiners.
It is a very well equipped and very comfortable narrowboat with trad stern and good looking Reeves shell. An exceptionally well crafted fitout gives a light oak feel with inlays of beautiful dark oak veneer on panels and doors. There are curves everywhere. At 57’, she really is a go anywhere boat and is ready for long term cruising or living aboard having a 3.5kw travel pack fitted with the Beta 43.
The cratch covered well deck features lockers either side, and comfortable single padded cushions for external seating.
The saloon is spacious with a Lockgate stove, 2 comfortable arm chairs, and a range of storage options. An L-shaped dinette comfortably sits 4 people (the table forming the double bed when dropped down). Opposite the dinette is a good sized side hatch with a removable window.
The galley is next, with plenty of storage opposite and above, along with the obligatory wine rack. The utilities comprise of a large 240V fridge with icebox, and a 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill and a combi microwave.
The central bathroom has doors at both ends creating a lovely large space. There is also a Thetford macerator toilet and ceramic sink over vanity unit. Again, lots of storage along with a washing machine. There is a spare Portapotti on board for emergencies!
The master bedroom comes next with King sized cross bed with 2 L shaped wardrobes at either side, plus deep drawers under the bed.
Some more cupboards end the bedroom area and lead up to the engine room which has an extra wide hatch for easy access. The Beta 43 engine is housed below, along with a bank of 4x 160ah domestics, with separate starter and bowthruster supply.
A truly exceptional narrowboat, without a 2 year waiting list, and she is a ready to go luxury for a family or group who want a boat that can be used all year round. She even has a bowthruster!
