Wynifred is a lovely 50’9” traditional style narrowboat built in 1991 by Kennet & Avon.
She is full of charm and personality and offers a surprising amount of space for a 51’ boat.
The well deck has a glazed cratch board, storage lockers/seats either side and the stainless steel water tank is housed underneath.
Glazed front doors lead into the saloon. This is generously proportioned at nearly 12’ long and has a large couch (also serves as a single berth), a table with two chairs, another occasional table and a Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove. The TV/DVD combo & stereo sits opposite.
The galley follows and has plenty of storage space and work surface. Utilities comprise of a stainless steel sink with draining board, 4 burner gas hob and eye level oven & grill. There is also an 800 microwave. The fridge is a 12v Shoreline with icebox.
The bathroom sits off a corridor on the port side. The loo is a pumpout and the basin is counter sunk plastic over a cupboard.
The bedroom follows and has a fixed double bed with storage under. At the foot of the bed is a dressing table with mirror & light over and a large wardrobe.
Steps lead up into the rear cabin. The engine (Perkins) sits under in a well maintained engine room. Doors lead out onto the rear deck.
She was last blacked in Sep 2018 and had 8 new anodes put on, last serviced in Oct 2019, and had a full survey in Sep 2018.
Central heating is an Alde gas fired system to fin rads through the boat, and the hot water is heated by the engine or the Alde boiler.
All the lighting is LED, and the batteries are only a year old.
She has a 1600w inverter and landline hook up point for 230v, 160w solar panels (need installing) and a galvanic Isolator.
Wynifred is such a sweet boat and will make a lovely home or holiday cottage
