Wildschönau – 51’7″ Trad 1994 Harborough Marine
Wildschönau is a really charming 51’7” Trad stern narrowboat built in 1994 by Harborough Marine. She has been in the hands of the current owner for 16 years and has been well loved.
She has just (last week) had a hull survey, she has just been blacked, and six new anodes were put on her, so she has been well prepared for sale.
The forward locker contains the two gas bottles, and the well deck, with glazed cratch board, has the stainless steel water tank underneath. Glazed front doors lead into the saloon. She feels really cosy with her oak faced ply fit out and carpet. The saloon is 9’6” and has a couple of super comfy armchairs (with footstools), a TV & DVD, a solid fuel stove and a host of cupboards & shelves.
Moving aft is the pullman style dinette. This has storage under and converts into a spare double berth.
The galley follows. At over 8’ long, it feels quite spacious and has a 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill, a microwave oven, a 12v fridge (with icebox) and a sink with drainer. There are plenty of storage options and a side hatch adds light and air.
The bathroom utilities are on the port side of the boat; the loo is a Thetford cassette, the washbasin is ceramic, and the shower is a tiled cubicle with glass tri-fold doors. Opposite are two large cupboards (one wardrobe and one with shelves and the washing machine).
The bedroom has a 6’2”x4’ fixed double (storage under), and a cupboard over the head end with reading lights underneath.
The engine (a Nanni diesel) sits under the deck boards in the stern cabin.
On board 230v is from the 1600w inverter or landline, and 12v is from the bank of 3 domestic batteries. She also has a galvanic isolator fitted.
All the lighting is LED.
The water tank is 680 litres stainless steel, and hot water is heated by the engine, the immersion heater or the Paloma gas instant hot water boiler. The Alde gas boiler heats the radiators.
She is a lovely boat and ready for immediate occupation.
