Wells Fargo – 60′ Trad 2005 Alexander/Blue Haven Marine
Wells Fargo is a stunning 60’ trad narrowboat, built in 2005 by Alexander Boat Builders, fitted out partially by Blue Haven Marine, and completed by the original owner; she was blacked in 2019 and serviced in June 2021. The high quality woodwork, oak faced ply with sapele trim fit out makes her feel really cosy and well cared for.
The well deck is an impressive 8’0”, with one small storage locker and weatherproofed external plug socket. Four people or more could comfortably dine al fresco here. You can also access the bow locker from here, which houses two 13kg gas bottles, and additional storage.
The boat has a lovely homely feel; entering the saloon from the well deck, through glazed double doors. This is a large space at 12’2”, with a sofa bed (which converts in to an additional double bed), and an array of cupboards and shelves.
The galley follows, with a 12v/230v fridge, Belfast style sink, and Thetford oven & grill and a four burner gas hob. There are plenty of drawers and cupboards for storage, an inbuilt bottle rack, and both a houdini roof hatch and a side hatch which bring in additional light and fresh air.
The off-corridor bathroom features a pump-out loo, a white ceramic basin over a vanity unit, a mirrored wall cabinet, and enclosed shower tray with thermostatic mixer and houdini roof hatch over.
The bedroom features a 6’4” x 4’5” bed with plenty of storage space under the bed, a cupboard over and 7 bedside drawers. The Webasto heating system can also be controlled from this room, ensuring the boat is toasty before getting out of bed.
The utility room towards the stern of the boat also doubles up as an airing cupboard and wardrobe, with a Zanussi washing machine, the Kabola heating system, and plenty of clothes rails.
The engine room is last and houses the electrics, more storage, and the Webasto heating system.
Both of these diesel fired central heating systems are connected to the 5 radiators along the boat. Hot water is supplied from either the engine, the two central heating systems or an immersion heater.
230v power is supplied by either the 2.5kw inverter/ charger, or the landline. 12v is supplied from the bank of 5 domestic batteries (105ah each) and one starter. The lights are all LED.
This boat has been lovingly crafted and finished to an incredibly high standard, ready for liveaboard life.
