Wagtail – 60′ Trad Stern 2001 Tim Tyler & Jonathan Wilson/Louis & Joshua
Wagtail is a charming 60’ traditional stern narrowboat built in 2001 by Tim Tyler and Jonathan Wilson. She was fitted out by Louis & Joshua, with oak faced ply and oak trim throughout, for a traditional feel.
She has been well looked after and is well presented for sale, benefitting from blacking in 2021, along with repainting the sides and roof and a survey available for viewing in the office from the same year.
The open well deck (5’8”) features a forward locker for storage, and plenty of external space for al-fresco dining.
Glazed stable doors lead down into the 12’3” saloon. There are two captains chairs with matching footstools, a Refleks diesel stove (with separate fuel tank in the forward locker), 29” LG Tv, Panasonic stereo, and a range of shelves and a cupboard for storage.
A fixed L-shaped bench sits midship, with drawers under. This also converts to a spare double when required. An extendable table with 2 chairs provides a cosy dinette area too.
Next is the 8’0” horseshoe shaped galley, with a Thetford 4 burner gas hob, Thetford oven & grill, Shoreline 12v fridge with icebox, stainless steel sink, and plenty of storage options. Plumbing is also installed for a washing machine.
Side hatches in the galley, dinette, and saloon bring in additional light and fresh air to the forward half of the boat.
The off-corridor bathroom follows, with light painted hull sides. This 6’4” space features a square shower tray with vinyl surround, square ceramic wash basin, Thetford cassette loo, and open space for storage.
The bedroom is comfortable at 9’7”, with a fixed 6’4” x 4’2” double berth (storage under, shelves over) and double wardrobe.
Steps lead out into the engine room, with the Beta 43 engine housed below. This was last serviced in December 2021.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired boiler connected to 3 radiators (radiators and plumbing are new), and hot water is via the Webasto, engine or immersion.
12v power is supplied by 5x 115ah domestics, with a separate starter, topped up by 160w of solar. 240v power is via a Mastervolt 2.5kw combi inverter/charger or landline.
Lighting on board is LED throughout.
She is would make a lovely floating home, and is ready for immediate occupation.
