The Skylark – 58′ Cruiser 2019 Cauldon Boats/Brayzel Narrowboats
The Skylark is a charming 58’ cruiser stern narrowboat built in 2019 by Cauldon Boats, and fitted out by Brayzel Narrowboats. She was last blacked in August 2023, and the engine has been serviced prior to sale (October 2023).
The open well deck is 4’11”, with a forward locker housing the Vetus 75kgf bowthruster, and access to the water tank in the bow.
Steps lead down, through glazed forward doors, into the large 14’11” saloon. Here there is a Bubble multifuel stove, 3 seater sofa bed (converts to a spare double), 2 chairs, a freestanding table, and a Philips 240v TV.
Next is the 7’8” galley, with oak effect laminate worktops, a Thetford Midi Prima oven & grill, Thetford 3 burner gas hob, Daewoo microwave, stainless steel sink, Fridgemaster 12v fridge with icebox, and plenty of cupboards and a drawer.
A houdini hatch over the saloon and a starboard side hatch in the galley bring in additional light and fresh air to this open plan cabin.
The 10’7” bedroom follows, with a 6’3” x 4’6” pullout double berth. Storage is from a large wardrobe with hanging and shelf space, a set of 4 drawers, and under bed cupboards.
At the aft of the boat sits an off-corridor bathroom (6’3”) with a Theford cassette loo, with a spare cassette, square shower tray with a new curtain ready, and a ceramic wash basin.
Steps lead out onto the 7’1” cruiser stern deck, with the Beta 38 engine housed below.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto Thermo Top heater connected to 4 radiators, and hot water is via the engine, Webasto, or immersion.
12v power is via 4x 95ah domestics, with a separate starter and 2 bowthruster batteries. 240v power is via a Victron 3kw inverter/charger, or landline. A galvanic isolator is also fitted.
Lighting onboard is LED throughout.
She is a sweet boat, with a light and modern feel, ready for immediate cruising.
