Take Wine – 60′ Semi Trad 2003 Liverpool Boats
Take Wine is a charming 60’ semi-trad narrowboat built in 2003 by Liverpool Boats with nicely crafted oak faced ply and oak tongue and groove throughout the boat.
Over the past two years the owners have spared no expense with upgrading the electric systems, installing new appliances, and she benefits from blacking in Feb 2022.
The 4’4” well deck features lockers either side, with storage under, and easy access to the gas in the front.
Steps lead down through glazed forward stable doors into the large 16’10” saloon. There are two captains chairs, a fixed L-shaped bench (converts to spare double), Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove, Wifi router, 32” Toshiba TV, and a range of cupboards and shelves for storage.
Next is a the horseshoe galley (6’11”), with a Thetford Mk3 Midi Prima oven & grill, Thetford 4 burner gas hob, 12v Shoreline fridge, stainless steel sink, and plenty of cupboards and drawers. A starboard side hatch with roof access brings in additional light and fresh air.
A 6’3” dinette follows, which converts to another spare double, and offers an alternative seating area from the saloon.
The 5’8” off-corridor bathroom features a rectangular shower tray with tiled surround and shower curtain, Thetford cassette loo (with 2 spare cassettes), and plastic wash basin. A single wardrobe sits in the bathroom corridor.
Following this, the bedroom is comfortable at 8’8” with a cross bed (6’1” x 5’1”) with storage under and over. There is potentially space under the rear steps for a washing machine if required.
The semi-trad deck features lockers either side, with the Barrus Shire 45 engine housed below. A rear tonneau cover protects the stern deck from the elements.
12v power is via 640ah of lithium domestics, with separate starter and bowthruster supply, topped up by 720w of solar with 2x solar charge controllers. 240v power is via a Victron 3kw Multi-plus II inverter/charger or landline. A Victron DC-to-DC charger helps out with the lithiums, and a Victron Cerbo monitor controls the whole eco-system.
Lighting onboard is LED throughout.
She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher diesel fired boiler, and hot water is via the Eberspacher, engine, immersion or solar dump.
With so many upgrades it wouldn’t take long to settle in to this floating home.
