Tacara – 58′ Semi-Trad 2007 Colecraft/Darren Aldridge Boats Ltd
Tacara is a stunning 58’ semi-trad narrowboat built in 2007 by Colecraft, and fitted out excellently by Darren Aldridge Boats Ltd. She has been well prepared for sale, with a hull survey and new boat safety carried out in September 2023, and blacked with 2pk epoxy in October 2023.
The cratch covered well deck is 5’0”, with lockers either side for storage. Art deco style painted shutters attached to the glazed cratch board can be used for extra security.
Steps lead down into the 9’6” saloon. There is an Arrow solid fuel stove, 28” LG Tv, and a range of cupboards and shelves for storage. Two stressless leather chairs are included by negotiation.
Next is the 6’3” L-shaped dinette, with 2 different sized demountable tables, and plenty of storage space under (including a Waeco freezer!). This converts to a spare double when needed.
The galley is 9’0” with granite worktops, stainless steel sink, 12v Shoreline fridge with icebox, Stoves 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill, plumbing and space for a washing machine, a microwave, wine rack and heaps of storage. A starboard side hatch and houdini over bring in additional light and fresh air.
Cutting into the galley, the unusually shaped bathroom follows. This 6’8” space features a tiled shower cubicle, ceramic wash basin, electric flush macerator loo, and more cupboards.
The bedroom is next, comfortable at 10’9” with a fixed 6’3” x 4’0” double berth. A large wardrobe at the foot end, cupboards over, and cupboard under provide ample storage. A 19” TV provides additional entertainment.
Steps lead out onto the semi-trad deck, with lockers either side for storage, and padded seat cushions. A tonneau cover keeps this protected from the elements. The Beta 43 engine with hospital silencer is housed below. Navigation is also aided by a Vetus 55kgf bowthruster.
12v power is via 3x 118ah domestics, with separate starter and bowthruster supply. 230v power is via a Victron Pheonix 3000w inverter/charger or landline. 200w of solar help to keep the batteries topped up, and a galvanic isolator is also installed.
Lighting onboard is LED throughout.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired boiler connected to 3 radiators and a towel rail. Hot water is via the Webasto, engine or immersion.
She is in amazing condition both inside and out, and will make somebody a lovely floating home, or gin palace.
