Slowly – 65′ Cruiser Stoke Boats 1986
Slowly is a charming 65’0” cruiser stern narrowboat built in 1986 by Stoke Boats, and fitted out in pine T&G and oak faced ply boards. She was last blacked in April 2020, fully serviced in September 2021, and a survey was carried out in April 2020 which is available for viewing in the office.
Clever use has been made of 2 seats in the well deck, creating storage cupboards from inside the saloon. Large at 16’6”, the saloon features 2 easy armchairs with footstools, a Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove, and a series of low level cupboards for storage.
The 6’4” galley is next, with tiled worktops either side. A large stainless sink, 12v Shoreline fridge, Vanette 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill, and plenty of cupboards. A further galley cupboard and a microwave share space with the dinette area.
A L-shaped dinette forms a second saloon area, comfortable at 8’8”, with a demountable table, cupboard and shelves. This easily converts into a spare double when needed.
The 4’6” bathroom features a tiled and curtained shower area (almost wet room style), with a ceramic counter top sink, Thetford Porta Potti, and 2 cupboards.
Next is the bedroom, with a fixed double berth (6’5” x 4’0”) and storage under. A stained glass window in the aft bulkhead provides additional light with the stern doors open.
A stern cabin provides an additional 4’6” of storage, with a full height wardrobe and a range of cupboards. Here would be an ideal location for a washing machine or other utilities.
Steps lead out onto the large 9’6” cruiser stern deck, with the BMC 1800 engine housed below.
The back boiler on the Morso Squirrel stove heats two radiators, as well as the hot water (also heated by the engine).
Lighting onboard is a mix of LED and fluorescent bulbs.
12v power is supplied by 3x 110ah domestics, with separate starter, topped up by 350w of solar and a NOCO Genius Smart charge, and a SurePower battery management system. 240v is from a 1800w Sterling inverter.
She is ideal for extended cruising, and with so much storage space, could make an ideal liveaboard for her new owners.
