Scallywag – 44′ Cruiser stern East West Marine 2011
Scallywag is a well presented 44’ cruiser stern narrowboat built by East West Marine in 2011.
She is in nice condition both inside and out and has been well looked after.
The well deck is covered by a cratch cover which is in good condition. The stainless steel water tank is under, and the two gas bottle are in the forward locker in the bows.
Steps lead into the really cosy 6’9” saloon. There is a fixed bench (which converts into a spare double) and opposite is a wall mounted 42” Smart TV. There is a diesel Lockgate diesel stove on the starboard side by the step.
Aft of the saloon is the dinette area. This has storage under and serves as a comfortable area for dining or working. It also converts to a small double for children. There is super large side hatch opposite.
The galley is next, and utilities comprise of a four burner gas hob, oven & grill, stainless steel sink and a 12v fridge (with icebox). There is plenty of storage in the various cupboards.
A corridor leads to the bathroom. The shower itself is a wet room type arrangement and the wash basin is ceramic set over a cupboard.The loo is a macerator pumpout to a 200 litre holding tank.
The 6’3” bedroom is in the rear cabin. The fixed double measures 6’3”x4’ and has storage under. There are cupboards over the bed at either end.
Steps lead up to the covered stern deck. This is a good sized social area at 7’6” and the Barrus 35 engine sits under.
On board 230v power comes from either landline hook up or the 1600w Victron inverter / charger. 12v comes from the bank of 3x 115ah domestics and one starter. 645w solar keeps the batteries charged. All the lights are LED and there is a galvanic isolator on board.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired boiler to 4 radiators, and the hot water is heated by the engine or the Webasto.
She was last blacked in 2022 and the engine last serviced in 2021 (but has done little cruising since). She is a really charming boat, ready for immediate occupation.
