Samarkand – 52′ Semi-Trad Alvechurch 1989
Samarkand is a really sweet 52’ Semi trad built in 1989 by Alvechurch and fitted out by ABC boats.
She has been a liveaboard for the last year or so and has made a really cosy home.
She benefits from a recent full survey (June 2022), a recent blacking & anodes (May 2023) and a recent service on the relatively new engine (the engine was new in 2017 and only has 159 hours on the clock).
The paintwork is in good condition with the last full repaint in 2013 and a “back to metal, rust treat and re-paint” on the front & back decks in Nov 2023.
There are three gas bottles in the forward locker and the well deck has a cratch board (which is not fitted). The integral water tank is underneath and there are seats either side which have padded cushions. Glazed front stable doors lead into the saloon.
The saloon is 10’6” long and has a two seater sofa, a solid fuel stove (NEW Feb 2023), a wall mounted 32” Smart TV and a couple of storage units.
The galley is over 7’ long and utilities comprise of a four burner gas hob, oven & grill, a stainless steel sink, a microwave oven and a 12v fridge with icebox. There is plenty of storage, a fold down breakfast bar, and a side hatch adds light and air.
A corridor with a wardrobe in leads to the bathroom. The loo is a pumpout, the basin is ceramic and the shower is a vinyl lined cubicle with glass bi-fold door. There is a heated towel rail in here.
The bedroom is in the aft cabin. The fixed double is 6’3”x4’ and has storage under. At the foot of the bed sits a chest of drawers and a wardrobe.
Steps lead up to the semi trad rear deck. The engine, a Beta 32 sits under the deck boards. The bank of 3 domestic batteries and one starter are in here as well. There is a Victron battery monitor and separate charger.
She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher diesel fired system, and this, along with the engine, heats the hot water.
Most of the lights are LED. 230v is from either the landline or the 1kw inverter. She also has a galvanic isolator fitted.
She is a lovely boat, ready to go.
