Phoebe – 59’7″ Trad 2003 Braidbar/ Tim Tyler
Phoebe is a superb 59’7” traditional style narrowboat built in 2003 by Braidbar Boats on a Tim Tyler shell. She is fitted out with oak faced ply and oak tongue and groove, with solid oak trim, and solid pine flooring throughout.
She is extremely well prepared for sale, having been last blacked in October 2021, a full survey in January 2020, plus the engine will be serviced prior to sale.
The well deck is comfortable at 5’ and provides a good outdoor area. A freestanding bench can be moved to access the locker below, housing the Cramm hydraulic bowthruster. The 635L stainless steel water tank is below too.
Steps lead through glazed front doors into the saloon. A good size room at 12’, this houses two captains chairs with matching footstools, a set of small tables, a custom made solid fuel stove, 24” smart TV and a range of cupboards and shelves for storage.
The galley follows, with wood affect laminate worktop, stainless steel sink, Stoves oven, grill & 4 burner gas hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge and freezer. There is heaps of storage in here, will cupboards above and below. A side hatch at the aft end brings in additional light and fresh air, which can be enjoyed from the dinette as well.
The dinette is 6’3”, and easily converts in to a spare double. The storage space under cleverly hides away a spare porta potti for emergencies.
Next is the 6’3” bathroom, with a Sani Marin macerator pump out loo, square shower tray with tiled surround, ceramic counter sunk sink, and more cupboards for storage.
The bedroom is in the aft cabin, and large at 9’6”. The fixed double bed (6’3” x 4’4”) has storage under, and is extendable with the addition of an infill mattress. At the foot of the bed sits a large wardrobe with drawers below.
Steps lead in to the engine room, housing the Beta 43 engine. A useful set of drawers provides storage space for all of the navigation equipment.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired boiler and hot water is heated by the Webasto and the engine. The lighting is LED with some halogen wall lights.
12v power is from the bank of 4x110ah domestics, and 230v is from the Victron 12/1300/70 inverter/charger, 3.5kW travelpower or landline. There is a galvanic isolator fitted too.
Phoebe is a lovely, well built boat, and will make somebody a comfortable live aboard home, or home away from home.
