Paris is a charming 58′ traditional stern narrowboat built in 2002 by R& D Fabrications as a sailaway. She has been expertly fitted out by Mr J Lee, in oak panels with oak trim throughout the boat, and solid oak flooring. The unusually shaped bows and highly polished paintwork (repainted in 2015) instantly catch the eye!
The cratch covered well deck (5’0”) features lockers either side and a fold down table for al fresco dinning. Access is provided from here to the Vetus bowthruster.
Steps lead into the massive 16’0” saloon, with a range of cupboards and shelves for storage, 2x leather reclining armchairs, Kabola stove with back boiler, and plenty of additional space for freestanding furniture or even a sofa bed. Opposing side hatches bring in additional light and fresh air.
The galley is 8’0”, with a Waeco 12v fridge with icebox, diesel hob and oven (this boat is gas free!), Foreman grill, Candy washing machine and stainless steel sink. Cupboards, drawers and under floor hatches provide plenty of storage space.
In the 6’2” bathroom there is a Thetford cassette loo (2 spare cassettes), composite counter sunk sink, and bath with shower over. The side of the bath can be removed easily for additional storage.
The bedroom is large at 10’0” and features a 6’4” x 4’6” double berth with storage under, coat cupboard, double wardrobe, and a set of drawers.
Steps lead through the engine room, with the Nanni Diesel engine housed below, and out onto the stern deck. Small taff seats sit either side of the tiller for comfort whilst cruising.
She is centrally heated by a Kabola diesel fired system, and hot water is supplied by the engine, stove back boiler, immersion or the central heating.
12v power is supplied by 2x 220ah domestics, with separate starter, and 240v is supplied by a Victron 12/3000/120 inverter/charger. There is also 240w of solar with an MPPT solar charge controller. Lighting onboard is LED throughout.
Paris is as enticing as her namesake, and will make somebody a lovely liveaboard home as it has for her current owners.
