Osprey – 50′ Cruiser 2023 Nick Thorpe/Mark Evans
Osprey is a stunning 50’ cruiser stern narrowboat fitted out by Mark Evans in 2023, on a 2017 hull by Nick Thorpe. She was blacked with 2pk epoxy in April 2022, at the same time as servicing the engine, and the external paintwork is in excellent condition as you would expect from a brand new boat!
The well deck features bench seat lockers either side, with access to the gas locker in the bow.
Steps lead down through glazed forward doors into the 10’ 7” saloon. A three seater sofa faces the 43” Samsung Smart TV, connected to an external aerial and wifi antenna. A Hamlet Hardy multi fuel stove keeps the room toasty, and a freestanding drawer unit provides space for knickknacks.
Next is the 6’11” galley, with a 2 stool breakfast bar in between. A stainless steel sink sits into a quartz worktop, with a 12v Shoreline fridge (with ice box), Thetford Caprice oven, grill & 4 burner gas hob, and a range of cupboards and a drawer for storage.
The 6’2” bathroom follows, with a quadrant corner shower, SaniMarin macerator pump out loo, ceramic wash basin, and a couple of cupboards. A larger cupboard sits in the corridor.
Following this, the bedroom is at the aft and is large at 10’11”. A fixed 6’0” x 4’6” cross bed houses storage under, as well as 2 single wardrobes and bedside tables both sides of the bed.
Steps lead out onto the 7’8” cruiser stern deck, with a demountable table for alfresco dining. The Barrus 40 engine is housed below, with a hydraulic PRM 150 gearbox.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired system connected to 4 radiators, a towel rail and fin rads. Hot water is via the Webasto, engine or immersion.
12v power is via 200ah of lithium batteries, with a separate starter, topped up by 250w of solar with a Victron MPPT solar charge controller. 240v power is via a Victron 1600w inverter/charger or landline. A Victron DC/DC charger can also be used to boost the lithium batteries, and a Mastervolt Alpha Pro alternator charge controller is also installed.
Lighting on board, including under the gunwhales is LED throughout.
She is fully kitted out for liveaboard life, and ready to go straight away!
