Ontario is a stunning 58’ reverse layout semi-trad narrowboat, built in 2002 by Colecraft. She has been in the same hands since new, and is superbly presented with a full external repaint and blacking completed in September 2022. She is fitted out in a mix of painted and scumbled ply boards, and oak faced ply, with painted T&G ceiling.
The semi-trad deck houses the Beta 43 engine below, with padded lockers either side for socialable cruising. A tonneau cover keeps this area dry in the rain.
Steps lead down into the 7’0” galley, with a composite sink, Vanette GG7000 oven & grill, Vanette 4 burner gas hob, Waeco Coolmatic fridge (12v or 240v), and plenty of cupboards, drawers and shelves for storage.
The 9’11” saloon follows, with a large fixed L-shaped bench (converts to spare double), Arada Puffin solid fuel stove, gateleg table with 3 stools, 16” TV, and a range of storage options.
Next is the 6’0” bathroom, with a rectangular shower tray with tiled surround, Thetford PortaPotti loo, and ceramic basin over a cupboard.
The 8’6” bedroom is next, with a 6’0” x 4’0” double berth (extends to 4’8” wide). There are drawers under, cupboards at the head end, and a wardrobe fitted in alongside the shower.
A second bedroom features 2 single bunk beds, both 6’4” x 2’8”, with another little wardrobe and a range of shelves. The forward-most cabin features a 2nd Thetford PortaPotti loo and washbasin, and acts as an onsuite to the 2nd bedroom.
Steps lead out onto the large 6’3” well deck, with cratch cover over, and large storage lockers either side. A table, or additional infill seat, can be used in the middle, creating another socialable space.
She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher deisel fired system connected to 4 radiators, and hot water is supplied by the engine or Eberspacher.
The lighting onboard is LED throughout.
12v power is supplied by 4x 110ah domestics, with separate starter and bowthruster batteries. 240v power is via the Mastervolt Combi inverter/charger.
