No Name – 57′ Reverse Layout Semi Trad 2022 S. Jackson & Sons / Cain Narrowboats
No Name is a stunning boat. She was built in October 2022, so is only a year old and she looks and feels brand new (the external paintwork is 2 pack).
She is a reverse layout semi trad, beautifully fitted out by Cain Narrowboats on a S. Jackson & Sons hull. She was blacked in July this year (4 coats), two new midships anodes were added at the same time, and the engine was serviced in June this year. There is simply nothing to do to her.
Starting at the rear, the semi trad deck has seats / lockers either side (one houses the gas bottles). The engine is a Canaline 43 and sits in one of the cleanest engine bays I have ever seen. There are only 270 hours on the clock. The boat handles so well, and she stops in a boat length.
Steps lead down into the galley. It is well equipped with a three burner gas hob, eye level oven & grill, microwave oven, a stainless steel sink and a 12v fridge & freezer. There is also a huge amount of storage and floor level mood lights in the kicking boards.
The Pullman style dinette follows. This has a side hatch next to it (with inner glazed doors) and converts into a spare double berth. There is storage underneath including the washing machine (accessed from the saloon side).
The saloon is over 10’ long and has a wall mounted Smart TV (with Freeview) opposite two super comfy reclining armchairs. The is a solid fuel stove and a storage cupboard.
The walk though bathroom is next. The shower is a quadrant type, the loo is a composting one and the wash basin is ceramic, set over two storage cupboards & drawers.
The bedroom is in the forward cabin. The fixed double is 6’2”x4’ and extends to 4’6”. There is plenty of storage under, a cupboard over the head end and at the foot of the bed is a double wardrobe with a cupboard opposite on the starboard side. There is further storage under the steps which lead out onto the well deck. The stainless steel water tank is under.
The bow locker is just for storage.
She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher diesel boiler, and the water is heated by the Eberspacher, the engine or an immersion heater.
230v is from either landline or the 2.5kw inverter, and 12v is from the bank of four AGM domestic batteries. These are topped up by the 480w of solar.
All the lights, including under gunwale lighting, are LED.
