Moonraker is a lovely 38 foot traditional style narrowboat, built in 2002 by Paul Barber. She has been very well looked after, having being blacked every two years and her engine has been serviced every 250 hours. Her paintwork and cratch cover are in very good condition and she is well fitted out with everything you need for cruising the network.
The covered well deck has two lockers and provides a good size outside seating area. This leads into the saloon which at a little over 9 feet in length has a spacious feel to it. This contains an L-shaped dinette which converts into a double berth, a boatman multi-fuel stove and the 22” TV. There is also a demountable table which neatly stores under the gunwales.
The galley is a walk through arrangement and contains a large stainless steel sink, a 4 burner gas hob, oven and grill, a 12v fridge with icebox (new in 2019) and plenty of roomy cupboards (including one large floor to ceiling).
Next comes the bathroom facilities which consist of an off corridor wet room and an off corridor toilet containing the Thetford cassette loo and a basin over a vanity unit.
The stern cabin contains a fixed single berth and plenty of additional storage. It also has the potential to provide an additional child’s berth (mattress not provided) on the port side. The Beta 35 engine is under the deck boards.
Heating on board is amply provided by the mutli-fuel stove and hot water is provided by the engine or the immersion (when on shore power). There are fittings for a back boiler but this is currently disconnected. Lighting is all LED, the landline provides 230v to the six 230v sockets and there are also three 300w inverters and two 100 watt solar panels (new in 2018).
Moonraker is in good condition and ready for new adventures, whether as a family holiday boat or a comfortable liveaboard!
