Meander – 58′ Cruiser 2003 Liverpool Boats/Peter Haines
Meander is a charming 58” crusier stern narrowboat built in 2003 on a Liverpool Boats hull. She was fitted out by Peter Haines, using pine tongue and groove, carpet to the hull sides, and laminate flooring throughout.
She was last blacked in 2020, with 4 new anodes fitted at the same time, and was fully repainted by the owner in 2020 as well. The cratch and pram covers were new in 2022.
The cratch covered well deck (3’8”) features lockers either side and a folding table for al fresco dining.
Steps lead down into the impressive 16’5” saloon, with 2 captains chairs and matching foot stools, a Villager solid fuel stove, 18” TV, 2 seat dinette and a range of storage options.
The 9’8” galley follows with a stainless steel sink, Belling eye level oven & grill, two burner gas hob, 12v Shoreline fridge, 12v Shoreline freezer, toaster, and heaps of cupboards and drawers. A starboard side hatch, with fly and rain screens, brings in additional light and fresh air.
Next is the off-corridor bathroom (5’7”) with a square shower tray with laminate surround and shower curtain, ceramic Thetford cassette loo, ceramic counter top wash basin, and more cupboards.
Following, the 10’5” bedroom features a large 6’1” x 5’10 cross bed, with storage under, a large double wardrobe, and shelves for more storage.
Steps lead out onto the 7’11” cruiser stern deck, with the Isuzu 35 engine housed below. This was serviced in Summer 2022, with little cruising done since.
She is centrally heated by an Alde Comfort gas boiler connected to 3 radiators, and hot water is via the engine, Alde or immersion.
12v power is via 4x 105ah dometics with separate starter, topped up by 100w of solar. 240v power is via a Victron 3kw inverter/charger, landline or the Neo 2000 generator.
Lighting on board is LED throughout.
