Margaret Rose is a lovely 58’ cruiser stern narrowboat built in 2009 by Elite Narrowboats & Fabrications. She was fitted out by Still Water Narrowboats, in American light out with oak trim throughout, wood laminate flooring in the galley and bathroom, and carpet elsewhere.
She has been extremely well cared for, with a number of sections of the cabin repainted in 2020 along with the hull blacking, and a number of internal upgrades to keep her at her best.
The cratch covered well deck is 4’0” and contains lockers with padded seats either side. The glazed cratch board provides views out over the bow.
Steps lead down into the saloon, large at 12’0’, with 2 captains chairs, a matching footstool, 23” Samsung TV, Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove, and a range of cupboards and shelves for storage.
At the far end is the 6’0” dinette, easily seating 4, and converts into a spare double when needed. There is additional storage space below each bench.
The 6’4” galley follows, with stunning black granite worktops, stainless steel sink, Stoves 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill, 12v Shoreline fridge, and plenty of storage options. A starboard side hatch brings in additional light and fresh air.
The standout feature of the walkthrough bathroom (6’0”) is the large quadrant corner shower, which sits alongside a Thetford electric flush cassette loo, and ceramic basin. Some shelves and a couple of cupboards provide ample storage in here.
The bedroom, large at 12’0”, features a 6’4” x 4’0” double berth (storage and drawers under, cupboard over), a double wardrobe with shelves and hanging space, and a couple of additional cupboards at the aft end.
Steps lead out onto the cruiser stern deck (7’8”) with the Isuzu 42 engine housed below (serviced July 2020). A tonneau and skirt help protect the stern deck from the elements.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto Thermo Top C diesel fired system, connected to 3 radiators, and hot water is supplied by the engine, Webasto or immersion.
12v power is by 4x 150ah deep cycle domestics, with separate starter, and 240v is supplied by a Sterling 2.1kW inverter/charger. A Victron battery monitor is also fitted, along with landline hookup.
The lighting onboard is LED throughout.
