60′ cruiser stern 2000.
Lois Jane is a delightful 60 foot cruiser stern narrowboat, built in 2000 by Jim Sparks at Alexander Narrowboats and fitted out by Sandhills. She is beautifully fitted out in American Oak with Iroko solid wood flooring throughout and all the windows, portholes and even the two houdini hatches are double glazed!
The saloon is entered via the very spacious 7ft well deck. This has a comfortable sofa/sofa bed, an Arrow multi-fuel stove and storage in the form of shelving and a cupboard. A Houdini hatch overhead lets in plenty of light and air.
Next comes the very well equipped galley with attractive black corian worktops, a Belling 4 burner gas hob, oven and grill and plenty of cupboards and drawer space. There is even a wine rack! Underneath the worktops on the port side sits the 12v Shoreline fridge (with ice box) and the Zanussi Aquacycle washing machine. On the starboard side there is a side hatch with roof hatch over which is easily reached up a couple of steps.
The bathroom is a walk through arrangement. The shower sits over a 5 foot long Bette enamelled bath with a tiled surround. The loo is a Sani Nautico macerator pump out and the basin is a very unusual Italian aqua coloured glass basin. A couple of good size cupboards and a set of shelves ensure there is plenty of places to put your bathroom essentials. A second Houdini hatch lets in plenty of light.
The bedroom is fitted out with a 5ft x 6ft 2in Cross Bed with two large drawers under. There are also two good size wardrobes either side and another cupboard. The stern of the boat is fitted out as an office/storage area with a good size desk (or dressing table maybe) and a number of cupboards. Steps lead up to the cruiser stern deck with a couple of lockers (the starboard side one housing the 2 x 13kg gas bottles). Underneath the deck boards sits the powerful Beta Marine 50 engine (last serviced 80 hours ago). The pram cover over is only 4 years old.
Heating is provided by the Eberspacher diesel central heating system or the stove, hot water comes from the engine, the Eberspacher or the immersion (when on landline). The lighting is all LED, the three leisure batteries are 125ah AGM, there is a 2.5kw inverter/charger a Galvanic Isolator and 400w of solar. She also features a Nobels bowthruster and an Axiom propeller.
She hs been well loved and well cared for over the last 9 years by her current owners. Lois Jane is now looking for her new owners to continue to love and cherish her!
