Linnet is a charming 57’ “go anywhere” size cruiser stern narrowboat built in 2005 by GT Marine & fitted out in ash by Robert Edgley. She has provided a comfortable summer home to her current owner for the last 12 years.
She has been well looked after. She was last blacked in 2021, and the engine has just been serviced (May 2022). She also has a satisfactory hull survey in 2015.
From the cratch covered well deck (550 litre stainless steel water tank under), you enter the saloon. This has an L shaped couch (single berth and storage under), a Morso solid fuel stove and a TV / DVD / Freeview box. Aft of the couch is a four seater dinette. This has storage under and converts into a spare double berth.
The walk through galley is next. Utilities comprise of a stainless steel sink, a 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill, and a 12v fridge with icebox. There is plenty of storage under the work tops, and a full size washing machine is housed in here as well.
The bathroom has a pumpout loo, a ceramic wash basin and a tiled shower cubicle with clear doors and panels. There is also a heated towel rail in here.
The bedroom is in the aft cabin. The bed is a cross bed (6’1”x4’6”) and has good sized wardrobes either side. There is another cupboard on the port side.
Steps lead up to the 7’7” stern deck. this is a good social area and the engine, a Vetus 42hp, is housed under. There is also a pramhood for the rear deck.
On board 230v is from either the landline, a 2kw inverter, or the 3.5kw Travel Power generator. The 12v supply comes from the bank of 3 domestic batteries (new in May) and one starter battery.
She is centrally heated by an Alde gas boiler (serviced in April 2021) and the hot water is heated by the engine or the Alde boiler.
The lights are all halogen.
She has been tried and tested as a liveaboard and will make someone a lovely new home.
