Libra 56 is a stunning vessel. She is a 62’ long 12’ wide Dutch style barge, built in 2017 by Elton Moss. She is beautifully fitted out and is in superb condition both inside & out.
Entrance is through the collapsible wheelhouse.
On the outside of the entrances are steps which lead up to the sundeck, and a couple of storage lockers (gas and coal) either side of the doors. The wheelhouse is over the engine room housing a regularly serviced Vetus 80hp engine, the bank of 5 domestic batteries and the calorifier. 230v is supplied from either landline (hook up back or front) or the 3kw Victron inverter (new 2023).
There is also a 125kgf bowthruster fitted to aid navigation.
Steps aft of the wheelhouse lead into the spare bedroom. This is 7’4 long and has a chest of three drawers and a cupboard, a wardrobe, a table and a double bed with shelves at the foot end.
Steps forward of the wheelhouse lead into the beautiful 8’2” galley. The worktops are Technistone, there is storage a-plenty and the utilities comprise of stainless steel sink, a fridge and separate freezer, full size dishwasher, four burner gas hob, oven & grill. There is also a breakfast bar with three stools.
The open plan sitting room is spacious at 13’. This has a super comfy sofa, a solid fuel stove and a 42” TV with Freesat. There are further storage cupboards and a side hatch adds light and air (as does a huge roof light).
Moving forwards down the corridor, the bathroom is on the port side. Super spacious and housing a large shower cubicle, floor to ceiling shelving cupboard, ceramic sink and a pump out loo. There is a heated towel rail in here along with a separate washing machine and condenser tumble dryer.
The master bedroom is in the forward cabin. The kingsize bed is up against the bulkhead, with storage and a water tanks under. With two double wardrobes and further cupboards and drawers and shelves, there is an abundance of storage.
There are two water tanks totalling over 1000 litres, and the hot water is from the engine, the central heating or an immersion heater. The central heating is a Webasto to 5 radiators and a towel rail. All the lights are LED, and she has an Galvanic Isolation Transformer fitted.
