Kingfisher – 35′ Trad Bettisfield Boats 2004
Kingfisher is a really sweet little boat. She is a 35’ Trad built in 2004 by Bettisfield Boats and whilst compact at 35’ I think she is designed well enough to live aboard if that is what you are looking for.
She has been well looked after. She was last blacked in September 2021 and the engine was serviced in February 2022.
The well deck has the 500 litre polypropylene water tank underneath and a step leads into the saloon. This has two comfy armchairs in and a folding table attached to the wall. There is a TV / DVD combo on a shelf. Whilst there is not a solid fuel stove in here there would be room for a small one in the forward starboard corner.
The galley is next and utilities comprise of a 4 burner gas hob, an oven & grill, a stainless steel sink and a 12v fridge with icebox. There are plenty of storage options including a floor to ceiling cupboard with a hanging bar at the top.
Aft of the galley is the bedroom. The fixed double is 6’2”x4’ and has storage under half of it (the loo tank is under the other half). At the foot of the bed is a half wardrobe on the wall.
The bathroom is next. The loo is a pumpout, and the basin is a counter sunk plastic one. The shower is a vinyl lined cubicle with a curtain.
The engine room is the last cabin. The engine is a Beta 28 and the bank of batteries (4 leisure & 1 starter) is in the port side cupboard. 230v is supplied from the 600w inverter.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired boiler and the hot water is heated by the engine or the webasto.
She is a really lovely boat, full of charm and character.
