Greetland Lady – 50′ Trad 1998 John White/Hilux
Greetland Lady is a 50’ Trad stern narrowboat built in 1998 by John White and fitted out by Hilux. She offers a comfortable amount of living space and has been well cared for.
The cratch covered well deck with glazed cratchboard has the 680 litre water tank under. Steps lead down into the 12’8” saloon. This has a solid fuel stove, a wall mounted TV/DVD, a CD/radio and a three seater sofa. There is a bank of 3 drawers next to the sofa, and a full size washing machine is tucked under the kitchen units.
The galley is 7’ long and utilities comprise of a 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill, a stainless steel sink, a 12v fridge with icebox, a microwave oven and plenty of storage. A corridor leads to the bathroom. It has a sliding door and the shower is set over the bath (with glass door and extractor light over) . The loo is a Thetford cassette and there is a rectangular ceramic sink set over a cupboard. Opposite the bathroom is a side hatch with exit steps.
The bedroom follows. The fixed double measures 6’3”x4’ and has storage under. There is a double wardrobe at the foot of the bed, and wall mounted cupboards over the head end.
Steps lead up to the stern cabin. The engine, a brand new Barrus Shire 39 with only 42 hours on the clock, is under the boards, and steps lead up to the rear deck.
There is a survey available in the office for viewing from 2017. She was last blacked in May 2021 (Epoxy 2 pk).
Hot water is heated by the engine or an immersion heater (when on landline). 12v is supplied from the bank of three 110ah domestic batteries and 230v is from either landline or the 1500w inverter. She has a galvanic isolator.
She is a charming boat and will make someone a lovely cosy home.
