Fiddlesticks – Stunning 60′ Semi Trad 2008 Tyler Wilson / Darren Barker
Fiddlesticks is a stunning 60’ semi trad narrowboat built in 2008 by Darren Barker on a Tyler Wilson hull. She is fitted out in light American oak faced ply with oak trim throughout the boat, with wood effect Karndean flooring. The external paintwork is in excellent condition, along with the cratch and pram covers, and she was last blacked in 2021.
The well deck features lockers either side, with paded seat cushions, and access to the Vetus 95kgf bowthruster in the forward locker.
Steps lead through glazed forward doors and bulkhead, into the 15” saloon. The leather reclining two seater sofa and L-shaped dinette (converts to spare double) provide ample seating, with a 12v Shoreline freezer hidden under. There is also a Morso Squirell solid fuel stove (NEW 2021), 22” Cello 12v TV/DVD combo, Phillips CD/Radio, and plenty of cupboards for storage.
Next is the 9’0” galley, with curved granite worktops, a stainless steel sink, Spinflo 4 burner gas hob, Midi Prima eyelevel oven & grill, 12v Waeco fridge, full size washing machine and a microwave. There are heaps of drawers and cupboards in here, and even a larder cupboard too!
Side hatches in the saloon and galley, and houdini hatches over, bring additional light and fresh air into the boat.
The walkthrough bathroom (6’0”) features a large quadrant shower (with stone floor), stone basin, Vetus macerator pumpout loo, and more storage. Frosted portholes in the doors allow light through the boat.
The 12’4” bedroom follows, with a fixed 6’2” x 5’0” cross bed, double wardrobe, and an 18” 12v TV/DVD. A Zanussi tumble dryer sits under the aft steps.
Stepping out onto the 7’0” semi-trad stern deck, there are lockers either side with padded cushions. The Beta 43 engine is housed below, which was serviced approximately 180 cruising hours ago.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired boiler (NEW 2019), connected to 2 radiators and a towel rail. Hot water is via the engine, Webasto or solar dump.
12v power is via 200ah Lithium domestics (charged via 2x 110ah additional domestics via a Sterling battery to battery charger), with separate bowthruster and starter supply. 240v power is via a Sterling 1600W inverter, or 3.5kw travel power generator. 750W of solar keep everything topped up. Typically, with full use of everything, the Lithium batteries only lose about 13% overnight and back to 100% by about 10am.
Lighting is all LED apart from one.
A beautiful boat, ready for immediate occupation.
