Enjoy Yourself – 58′ Cruiser 2005 Reeves/Black Prince Ex-Hire
Enjoy Yourself is a charming 58’ cruiser stern narrowboat, built in 2005 as a Black Prince hire boat on a Reeves hull. Since then, she has been updated with lots of homely features, she was fully repainted in 2022, and grit blasted and 2 pk epoxy blacked in 2021.
The cratch covered well deck is 4’0”, with lockers either side (with padded seat cushions) and a fold down table.
Glazed bi-folding doors lead through into the 13’0” saloon. Here there is a Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove, 12v TV/DVD combo, 2 comfortable armchairs, a cupboard and a range of shelves. Heading towards the galley, a 2 seat dinette with demountable table provides a cosy dining area, with more storage under.
The horseshoe galley is 8’0”, housing a 12v Inlander LEC fridge with icebox, stainless steel sink, Stoves DIT 500 oven, grill & 4 burner gas hob, shelves and plenty of cupboards. A port side hatch, with glazed doors, brings in additional light and fresh air.
Next is the 6’10” bedroom, with a fixed 6’4” x 4’0” double berth, which extends to 4’6” wide. Cupboards sit over both ends for storage.
The off-corridor bathroom (6’0”) has a square vinyl lined shower, Tecma pumpout loo, ceramic wash basin, and more storage. A tall cupboard sits in the corridor too.
A rear cabin provides even more storage, and at 9’6” it has lots of potential as a second bedroom or workshop. Currently there is a range of gunwhale height cupboards, with plenty of work surface on top. There is also a portable washing machine and separate dryer housed here.
Steps lead out onto the cruiser stern deck, with the Isuzu engine housed below.
12v power is supplied by a bank of 3x 115ah domestics, topped up by an estimated 160w of solar, with a separate 120ah starter. 240v power is via a Singergex 1500W inverter, or landline.
Lighting is a mix of LED and fluorescent strips.
She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher diesel fired system connected to 4 radiators, and hot water is via the engine or Eberspacher.
