Elizabeth Poppy – 57′ Cruiser 2009 G&J Reeves/C&K Narrowboats
Elizabeth Poppy, lovely name for a lovely boat. She is a well loved and well kept cruiser stern narrowboat built in 2009 by C& K narrowboats on a G& J Reeves hull. She is in lovely condition both inside and out.
She was purchased by the current owners in 2017 (full survey available) and was last blacked in August 2022. The paintwork is in very good condition.
The 3 bottles of gas are in the forward locker and the well deck is covered by a very good condition cratch over (there is a spare one for winter). The 680 litre stainless steel water tank sits under. A lovely touch is that the cratch board has forward opening windows and the ctach cover is in very good condition. There is also a spare cratch cover for winter use.
Steps lead into the saloon. This has a super comfy 3 seater sofabed facing a wall mounted 29” TV, a car stereo (radio works CD does not) and various cupboards for storage.
Next is the dinette area. It would be a very cosy four seater for dinner but ideal for two, it has storage under but does not make into a spare berth. A lovely area to sit and reflect.
The galley has all you need. its over 9’ long and has a domestic size oven & grill, a 4 burner gas hob, and the sink and drainer are stainless steel. There is a 12v fridge with icebox and a side hatch adds light and air. There is storage a plenty.
The off-corridor bathroom is lovely. Through a sliding door and into a good sized shower cublicle with glass door, a ceramic sink, a heated towel rail and the loo is a Thetford cassette (with a spare).
The bedroom is in the aft cabin. The fixed double bed is 6’3” long (extends to nearly 5’ wide) , it has cupboards over the head end, storage underneath and a very large cupboard / wardrobe at the foot of the bed on both sides of the boat.
Steps lead up to the cruiser stern. The engine, recently serviced Beta 43, sits under the deck boards.
The stern deck has a cover for weather protection.
She is centrally heated by a gas fired Alde boiler. On board 230v is supplied from the landline (with Galvanic Isolator) or brand new 2.5kw inverter, and 12v is from the bank of 4x 120ah domestic batteries (NEW 2023). All the lights are LED. Hot water is from either the engine, the Alde or the immersion heater.
