Dunstressin – 55′ Semi Trad 2002 Liverpool Boats
Dunstressin is a really well presented 55’ Semi Trad narrowboat built in 2002 by Liverpool Boats. She is in lovely condition both inside and out and is ready for market. The vendors only bought her in March, and have found a boat which suits them better, so she benefits from a full survey, service and blacking in March 2021, 6 new anodes in 2020, a new pramhood and she is in spelndid condition both inside and out.
She is a standard layout, so from the well deck (680 litre water tank under), you enter the saloon. This is spacious and houses a NEW Morso solid fuel stove, a large wall mounted TV & sofabed (both available by negotiation), and storage cupboards and shelves. There is also a CD/radio stereo system. The room is 10’ long.
A pullman dinette area follows. This seats four for dinner and turns into a spare double berth, with storage underneath.
The classic Liverpool horseshoe shaped galley follows. The work tops are posh laminate, and utilities comprise of a 12v fridge (with icebox), a stainless steel sink (with drainer), a brand new oven & grill, and a 4 burner gas hob. There are plenty of cupboards and drawers for storage, and a side hatch adds light and air.
The bathroom is a cleverly thought out walk through arrangement. The wardrobe door doubles as a bathroom door giving privacy, and inside is a ceramic counter top basin over vanity unit, a brand new Tecma pumpout loo, and a tiled / curtained shower cubicle.
The bedroom is in the aft cabin, housing a fixed double bed (6’2”x4’6” extends to 5’ wide), with cupboards over the head end. At the foot of the bed is a dressing area with drawers and a cupboard over.
Steps lead up onto the semi trad stern deck, under which is housed the Isuzu 33 engine in a very tidy engine room.
12v power is supplied from the bank of 4 domestic batteries (new in 2020), and 230v is from either landline or the 1.6kva Victron inverter. She has 650w of solar power (new) with MPPT controller and a galvanic isolator.
She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher diesel fired boiler (to 3 rads) and hot water is from either the engine or the Eberspacher. There is an immersion heater fitted but not wired in.
She is a light, spacious and airy boat. Home to her current owners so tried and tested, and ready for immediate occupation with nothing to do to her apart from personalise.
