Daydreamer – 57′ Reverse Layout Cruiser 2003 Jade Fabrications/Graham Hales
Daydreamer is a sweet go-anywhere 57’ reverse layout cruiser stern narrowboat built in 2003 by Jade Fabrications, and fitted out by Graham Hales in ash faced ply throughout. She was last blacked in July 2023, and a hull survey from 2020 is available for viewing in the office.
The open cruiser stern deck is comfortable at 6’9”, with a Kubota 4 cylinder engine housed below (serviced March 2023). The gas bottles sit in a locker on the aft deck and navigation is also aided by a Nobels bowthruster.
Steps lead down into the 12’1” saloon, with an L-shaped dinette and demountable table (converts to spare double), LG TV, and a range of cupboards and shelves for storage.
Next is the 9’9” galley. Here there is a 240v fridge/freezer, Stoves oven, grill & 4 burner gas hob, stainless steel sink, and plenty of storage. A starboard side hatch, with screens, provides additional light and fresh air.
The off-corridor bathroom (6’5”) features a square shower tray with vinyl surround and clear door, ceramic wash basin, Thetford cassette loo (with 2 cassettes) and more storage.
At the front of the boat is the huge 12’11” bedroom. A fixed 6’4” x 4’0” double berth sits in the middle, with a double wardrobe, drawers and cupboards around. A TV aerial point in the corner and Sony radio provide additional entertainment.
Steps lead out through glazed stable doors into the cratch covered well deck, with bench seats either side.
12v power is via a bank of 3x 110ah domestics, with a separate starter, topped up by 600w of solar with an MPPT solar charge controller. 2x 110ah bowthruster batteries can also be charged via the solar, with the flick of a switch. 240v power is via a 1500w inverter or landline. A Sterling battery charger is also installed.
Lighting on board is LED throughout.
She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher diesel fired system connected to 3 radiators and a towel rail. Hot water is via the engine, Eberspacher or immersion.
