Crusoe – 58′ Semi Trad 1995 Mel Davis
Crusoe is a well loved and cared for 58’ Semi Trad built in 1995 by the highly regarded Mel Davis and very nicely fitted out by a professional joiner.
She has been in the same hands since new.
The paintwork is in reasonable condition and she was last blacked in the summer of 2021.
The well deck is over 4’ long and has bench seat (with cushions) either side. The 680 litre stainless steel water tank is under. Steps lead into the saloon.
The fit out is lovely, a mixture of cherry and maple, and the floor is carpeted. The saloon is 10’ long and has an L shaped couch (converts to a spare double berth), a solid fuel stove, a couple of cupboards and some shelves. There is a 23” wall mounted Smart TV with DVD (Other media on board includes a mobile phone / radio aerial, Blutooth stereo, provision for a subwoofer, amplifier with Blutooth and an Ipod dock).
The galley is 6”9”. A houdini hatch over adds light and air, and utilities comprise of a 4 burner gas hob, eye level oven, a microwave, a sink with drainer, a 12v fridge and plenty of storage.
Aft of the galley is the separate dining area. The Pullman style dinette converts into another spare double berth (storage under) and another side hatch offers views from the table.
A corridor (with double wardrobe) leads to the bathroom. This has a macerator pump out loo, a ceramic wash basin over a cupboard and a shower cubicle with bi-fold door. There is an extractor fan over.
The 10’5” bedroom is in the rear cabin. The fixed double bed is 6’4” long and has a cupboard over the head end (with reading lights under). At the foot of the bed is another ceramic wash basin with a cupboard under. There are cupboards either side of the rear steps for strorage and electrics.
Steps lead up to the semi trad cockpit. There are lockers either side (one housing the gas bottles and one for storage) and the engine, a Beta 43 with hospital silencer, sits under the deck boards.
She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher diesel boiler and this heats the hot water along with the engine and an immersion.
She has a bank of 4 domestic batteries (with monitors) and 230v if from either landline or the 2kw inverter. All the lights are LED and the starter has an 80w solar panel.
There is a lot of boat with Crusoe and she is ready to go.
