Clonmel – 54′ Reverse Layout Semi-Trad 2004 Measham Boats/Ashby Canal Centre
Clonmel is a 54’ reverse layout semi-trad narrowboat built in 2004 by Measham Boats. She was fitted out by Ashby Canal Centre, in ash faced ply with ash trim throughout, and is in excellent condition inside and out. She was fully repainted in 2019 by Colin Dundas of Spiderworx, and was blacked in September 2019 too! A survey from July 2019 is available for viewing in the office.
The pram covered semi-trad deck features lockers either side (port side for gas, starboard for storage) with the Barrus Shire engine housed below. The engine was serviced last in March 2020, and propulsion is aided by a 55kgf Vetus bowthruster.
Steps lead down into the 7’0” galley. There is a 12v LEC fridge with icebox, Vanette 4 burner gas hob, grill & oven, stainless steel sink, and a range of cupboards, shelves, and a drawer for storage.
The 6’5” pullman dinette follows, with storage under. This converts to a spare double if needed. A port side hatch brings in additional light and fresh air, with acrylic screen.
Next is the saloon (8’6”) featuring a large comfortable arm chair and matching footstool (could be changed for a 2 seat sofa). There is also a 21” 240v TV/DVD, CD radio, Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove, and a range of shelves and a cupboard.
The off-corridor bathroom is 6’7”, with a ceramic basin, ceramic shower tray with tiled surround, and a pumpout loo. An emergency porta-potti is housed in one of the cupboards.
Following this, the 9’0” bedroom is in the forward cabin, with a fixed 6’6” x 4’0” double berth, full height wardrobe, and cupboards over the bed.
Steps lead out onto the cratch covered well deck, with lockers either side, and views across the bow. With the gas at the aft, the bow becomes useable storage space.
She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel fired boiler connected to 2 radiators and a towel rail. Hot water is via the Webasto, engine or immersion.
12v power is supplied by the bank of 3x 130ah domestics, with separate starter and bowthruster supply, topped up by 200w of solar. 240v power is via the Victron Multiplus 1.6kw inverter/charger or landline.
Lighting onboard is LED throughout.
She is ready for immediate occupation, and will make somebody a beautiful liveaboard home.
