Bullock Smithy is a really sweet 30’ trad stern narrowboat built in 1983 by Brummagem Boats. She has been well prepared for sale having just had a hull survey, just had an engine service and just been blacked.
She offers a lot for a 30’ boat. From the rear, the recently serviced engine, a Vetus M206, sits under the deck boards. Steps lead down into the galley. This is in total 9’6” and has a 230v fridge, a ceramic sink with separate drainer and plenty of storage space. The boat is gas free, so there are various cooking options. There is a 230v convection oven and a 230v twin hob. With the current electrical configuration, you would need to be hooked up to landline to use these.
However, when off landline, there is a spirit burner which heats an oven and twin hobs.
Opposite the galley is the bathroom. This is just short of 5’ long and has a Porta Potti Excellence loo and a shower cubicle. Forward of the bathroom is a good size half height wardrobe with a cupboard over.
Forward of the galley area on the portside is a couch (with storage under). Opposite is a cabinet which houses the crossbed. This very easily makes up into a 6’x4’ double bed. There is a good size storage drawer under and the cabinet itself has plenty of storage space.
The saloon area is next. This is also 9’6” long and has a two seater sofa (with demountable dining table), a storage cupboard and a small solid fuel stove.
Steps lead into the full height well deck. There are bench seats either side (with a water tank in each) and a good condition cratch cover over. The cratch board is new.
The water tanks are polyeurethane, and hot water is heated by an immersion heater (when on landline).
There are two batteries on board (one domestic, one starter), both new April 2023. These are charged either by the alternator or a Vetus battery charger. Most of the lights are LED. There is a 500w inverter on board for 230v, but this needs wiring in.
Bullock Smithy is a really lovely boat and will make someone a lovely holiday boat or, with some investment, a cosy home.
