Bright Angel – 60′ Trad 1999 Worcestershire Boat Builders
Bright Angel is a stunning example of a very well cared for narrowboat. She is a 60’ Trad built as a sailaway in 1999 by Worcestershire Steel Boat Builders and fitted out by Pinder. The fit out was completed by the first owner. She is superbly presented; she was repainted in 2017, blacked in July 2020 (with a hull survey at the same time), and was serviced in April 2021. The oak T&G fit out make her feel cosy and charming.
The well deck is protected by a very good condition cratch cover. The 500 litre stainless steel water tank is underneath. Glazed stable doors lead into the saloon.
It is so cosy in here. Heaps of space at nearly 14’ long with a Morso solid fuel stove, a TV/DVD combo, two very comfy reclining armchairs, a gateleg dining table and an array of cupboards and shelves.
The 11’ walk-through galley follows. This has all the necessary utilities and more; a washing machine and separate tumble dryer, a 12v fridge, sink, four burner gas hob, oven & grill and a microwave oven. There are plenty of drawers and cupboards for storage. A side hatch adds light and air.
The walk through bathroom follows. A charming room with a Thetford cassette loo, a shower over hip bath and a basin over vanity unit. A door leads into the bedroom.
The bed in here is a fixed crossbed (6’2”x4’6”) with storage under and two very large wardrobes / shelving cupboards – one either side of the bed.
The stern cabin is last and large at 7’ long. This houses the electrics and other storage options. The Barrus Shire 44hp is under the floor boards. Steps lead up onto the rear deck.
She is well equipped for a very comfortable liveaboard. 230v is supplied by either the 2.5kva inverter / charger, the landline or the 3.5kw Travel Power generator. 12v is supplied from the bank of 4 domestic batteries (110ah) and one starter (topped up by the 200w of solar power), and there is a galvanic isolator on board. Most of the lights are LED.
The four radiators on board are heated by the Webasto diesel fired central heating, and hot water is supplied from either the engine, the Webasto or an immersion heater.
A lovely boat, ready to go.
