Adagio – reverse style semi trad 57′ 2005
An ideal long term cruising or residential craft of “go anywhere” dimensions, Adagio is a semi traditional narrowboat launched in 2005. The steelwork and fit out is by Heron Boatbuilders, who built a good number of these josher style boats at their Mirfield yard in Yorkshire until they ceased in 2006.
The boat is also a reverse lay out style. Starting at the stern, which is the main point of entry, steps lead down from the semi trad cockpit area to the galley, which is equipped with gas cooking, a fridge, freezer & washing machine. Cupboards lining the entrance steps provide a roomy hanging locker and utility store on the port side, whilst on the starboard side the electrics are housed, including a 3kW Victron inverter. The galley is open plan and the dinette is adjacent. This also converts into a guest double berth if required. The saloon follows and has an L shaped settee built in, with a multi fuel stove installed. There is also gas-fired central heating throughout. Next is a walk through bathroom area which has a three quarter size bath with shower over, a pump out macerator loo and a hand basin with a vanity unit above. Finally there is a permanent double cross bed in the forward cabin, with glazed hardwood doors that lead out into the bow well deck.
The boat’s propulsion is provided by an Isuzu 42hp diesel engine and she has a bowthruster. Lighting is all LED, central heating is gas fired and she has 600w solar power.
She is ready for immerdiate occupation and raring to go!
