Solace – 60ft Traditional Narrowboat
Solace is a fabulous combination of two well regarded boat builders – she has a Reeves hull and was fitted out by Stowe Hill Marine. She has had one owner since her build in 2005 and due to the care they have given her since then, she is in stunning condition.
She is a 60’ traditional stern narrowboat. She has portholes throughout and is lined in mahogany (mainly with white ceilings), and with the three houdini roof hatches on board, and three side hatches, the boat feels delightfully light & airey. The well considered layout has resulted in space and storage a-plenty.
The well deck, with bench locker seats and a drop down table for out door dining, leads into the beautiful saloon. This is over 10’ long, and has the solid fuel stove, an L shaped sofa opposite the TV cabinet, shelves and cupboards and a houdini hatch over.
Passing a side hatch, the walk through galley follows. Another houdini hatch over, fridge, freezer, washing machine, eye level oven and work-top hob & grill, a utility cupboard and lots of cupboard space…all that you need…
Another side hatch and into the well presented dinette with yet another side hatch over the dining table.
The stylish bathroom follows with a good sized tiled shower cubicle, pump out loo, ceramic basin towel rail & another houdini hatch for light…a lovely room…
The bedroom is next, and is the only cabin on board which has the mahogany ceilings as opposed to white. And it works. A charming room, with a cross bed, lots of wardrobe, cupboard and drawer space, and even a dressing table with stool / laundry basket.
Central heating is provided by an Eberspacher; on board 230v is via the 2kw inverter or 3kw travelpack generator, and she is propelled by the popular Beta 43.
Solace – 60ft Traditional Narrowboat is well built, well looked after and a well presented boat.
She will be available for viewings at Stowe Hill Wharf from Saturday 9th September 2017.
