Romany II – 1995 – 60ft Traditional narrowboat built by Evans & Sons.
From the well deck into the saloon. A good sized room at 14ft this contains a sofabed, and two leather Captains armchairs (with footstools). There is also a small writing desk, with chair, a cabinet for a TV (with aerial connection point) and the diesel Bubble stove.
The walk-through galley is a reasonable size at 10’ 8” housing a Currys full size washing machine, a drop in 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill, and a microwave. There is also space for a fridge to be installed next to the cooker. Ample cupboard & drawer space, and a side hatch opposite the cooker for light and ventilation.
The bathroom with sliding door follows. The loo in here is a Thetford cassette (and there is a spare Porta Potti in the engine room). The shower is housed over the 4ft bath.
The large bedroom which is nearly 13ft in length. Plenty of storage under the 6’ x 4’ 6” bed, and there is a chest of drawers and full sized double wardrobe and the end of the room. The radiator in the bedroom is heated by the Bubble stove.
The stern cabin houses the Beta BU1505 engine. Everything is really easily accessible in here, the engine, the battery bank, the calorifier, the inverter etc. The engine has remarkably few hours on the clock for a boat of this age as she has been more of a floating home than an extensive cruising boat.
She was last blacked, with new anodes, in May 2016. The external paintwork is in different colours on each side of the boat due to uncompleted re-painting, but she is presentable on both sides.
Romany II – 1995 – 60ft Traditional Narrowboat is ready to move onto. She is in reasonable condition for her age and she will make a lovely, cosy home.
THIS BOAT IS LYING AT BLISWORTH MARINA NN7 3FG. Viewings by appointment.
