Maythorne – 2011 – 60ft cruiser stern narrowboat with a Dave Clarke hull and an owner fit out in good quality oak.
She was launched in 2011 and has had the same owner since new. She was last blacked in Sep 2015, serviced in May 2017, and has been re-painted externally by Spiderworks in June 2017. That is to say, she has been very well looked after and is in lovely condition.
She has a 1600w inverter, central heating, a solid fuel stove, two toilets, and can sleep up to six. She is ready to go and would make for a lovely home or holiday cruising boat.
The well deck has two good sized bench seats / storage lockers and leads into the well lit sitting room which houses a make up bed settee, solid fuel stove and a drop leaf dining table.
The galley follows, with a horseshoe shaped arrangement containing the fridge, sink, cooking appliances, various cupboards, drawers & shelves. On through past the side hatch and second toilet (alternatively could be used as a utility room) into the good sized fixed double bedroom which has plenty of storage both under the bed and in the large floor to ceiling wardrobe.
The bathroom is next, with a 4ft bath with shower over (tiled surround), the Domestic pump out loo and a ceramic basin.
The aft cabin is next and is charming. There is a large wardrobe, and two facing upholstered bench seats which double up as single berths, with further storage under these. A table could easily be fashioned to make a day room for board games, dining etc. Or it could just serve as a second bedroom. The choice is yours.
Up the steps onto the 7ft stern deck, under which sits the ever reliable Beta 43 engine and bank of 6 batteries.
Maythorne – 2011 – 60ft cruiser stern narrowboat is a lovely boat; well maintained, well presented and very comfortable.
